Ulta Credit Card Explained

Cosmetics are not something I use. As a result, it’s possible that everything I’ve said about the Ulta Ultamate Rewards Mastercard is incorrect. Nonetheless, after looking over the Ulta Credit Card features, I’d say it’s a card that’s mostly useless unless you use Ulta exclusively for cosmetics and other beauty-related transactions. In this article we’ll discuss all you need to Know about Ulta Credit Card.

Ulta Credit Cards: What You Should Know About Their Benefits and Features
The Ultamate Rewards Mastercard and the Ultamate Rewards credit card are Ulta’s two credit cards.
Let’s get the Ultamate Rewards credit card out of the way first. It’s a store-only card, which means it can only be used at Ulta Beauty locations or online at Ulta.com. With this card, you’ll receive:
* 20% off your first purchase;
* 2 points for every $1 spent at Ulta Beauty stores or online; and
* 2 points for every $1 spent at Ulta.com.
That is the total amount of benefits.
You can use your accrued points to make Ulta purchases starting at 100 points, which is $3. You can’t use the points in any other way. In a moment, we’ll return to redemption value…
But, because the advantages are different, let’s start with the Ultamate Rewards Mastercard.
The Ultamate Rewards Mastercard, unlike the Ultamate Rewards credit card, is a standard credit card that may be used for transactions everywhere Mastercard is accepted. This Mastercard offers you the following benefits:
* 20% off your first purchase;
* 2 points for every $1 spent at Ulta Beauty shops or on Ulta.com;
* 1 point for every $3 spent elsewhere’
* After spending $500 in the first three months somewhere other than Ulta, you’ll receive 500 Welcome Bonus points (equivalent to $17.50 in Ulta purchases).
Are Ulta Credit Cards Beneficial to Me?
When it comes to cosmetics, it all relies on your spending habits.
If Ulta is your one-stop shop for all of your cosmetics and beauty requirements, the Ultamate Rewards Mastercard is certainly a good fit.
If you are a frequent Ulta shopper, the Ultamate Rewards Mastercard is considerably superior to the plane Ultamate Rewards credit card, as the Mastercards give you three points for every dollar spent, whilst the Ultamate Rewards card only gives you two points. It also allows you to earn points on all of your other daily transactions.
As a result, using the Mastercard will allow you to earn points much more quickly. As a result, I believe the Ultamate Rewards credit card is a no-go for Ulta shoppers.
But there’s a big catch: the Ultamate Rewards Mastercard can only be used at Ulta. It isn’t a card that makes sense for everyday expenditures that aren’t tied to beauty. Other credit cards, such as Citi® Double Cash Card – 18 month BT offer or Capital One Savor, provide considerably better cashback choices than one point for every $3 spent.
Ultamate awards are only redeemable at Ulta checkout for Ulta purchases. You can’t convert your points into cashback that you may use for things like groceries or flights.
They’re only good for Ulta Beauty purchases.
This isn’t necessarily a bad thing for Ulta regulars, because the money you spend there will be converted into Ultamate Rewards dollars worth more than you’d get if you spent the same amount on a conventional credit card with cashback alternatives.
You will get 200 points worth $6 if you spend $100 at Ulta with an Ultamate Rewards Mastercard. You’d receive $2 if you spent the same $100 on a credit card that offered 2% cashback.
The difference between Ultamate Rewards dollar worth and the value you’d receive with a 2% cashback credit card grows as you spend more at Ulta.
What Credit Score Should You Have in Order to Be Considered?
Both cards should be reasonably easy to obtain for the great majority of American consumers, as you will only need “excellent” credit, which is defined as a credit score of 670 or higher.
Alternatives
Ulta Credit Card is not a credit card for people who have bad credit or no credit.
If you’re one of these customers looking for a credit card, the Capital One Platinum credit card should be on your list.
The Capital One Platinum card, as I frequently point out, is one of the finest for people with bad credit. It has no yearly charge and increases your credit limit automatically after five consecutive on-time payments.
Because of the way credit ratings are computed, on-time payments and a credit limit increase will raise your credit score. With Capital One Platinum, you won’t get any miles, cash back, or signup bonuses, but perks aren’t necessary while trying to improve or restore your credit.
