Comerica Bank offers four checking accounts: Access, Rich Rewards, Premier, and Comerica Platinum Circle. 

Access, Rich Rewards, and Premier all have monthly fees ranging from $13 to $22, which can be eliminated by maintaining a daily balance of $1,000, $5,000, or $7,500. 

A $50,000 average daily balance is required to maintain the Comerica Platinum Circle Checking account. The other checking accounts require a $50 initial deposit, but the Access Checking account requires no deposit at all. 

All but Access Checking pay interest. On April 22, 2022, the APY for Rich Rewards and Premier accounts is 0.01 percent, and 0.02 percent for Comerica Platinum Circle. 


Comerica Bank offers only one primary savings account, the Statement Savings. Those under 18 or over 62 must pay a $50 minimum deposit and a $5 monthly maintenance fee. A $500 minimum balance or a Comerica checking account waives the charge. You receive six free withdrawals per month, after which it’s $5 each. This account’s APY is accounts. The APY is 0.01 percent as of Dec. 27, 2021.

Money Markets 

In addition, Comerica Bank offers a High-Yield Money Market Account. Both require a $50 starting deposit and allow check writing. Each withdrawal over six per month costs $5. 

The Money Market Investment Account has a $12 monthly fee that is waived with a Comerica Platinum Circle Checking Account and a daily minimum balance of $2,500. This account’s APY is 0.02%. 

This account’s $17 monthly charge is waived with a daily ledger balance of $15,000 or more. It yields 0.03 percent. 

CD Prices 

Comerica Bank offers two types of CDs: Fixed Rate and Flexible Rate. Fixed Rate CDs range from seven days to ten years and are ideal for long-term investments. The Flexible Rate CD has a 1-year duration. Both require $1,000 initial deposits. 

In general, greater rates are offered for larger amounts and longer durations. The APY on its Flexible Rate CD is 0.05 percent up to $2,499 and 0.10 percent above. 

Comerica Bank’s Scores Fees 

Comerica Bank charges a variety of fees. Most of its checking, money market, and savings accounts charge a monthly fee, which can be fairly substantial. Most of these fees can be avoided by keeping a high balance. 

Comerica also offers a long list of service fees that might add up. The $26-$38 NSF fee and the $2.50 ATM cost for non-Comerica institutions are two of the most notable. The bank also charges hefty outbound wire transfer fees, ranging from $27 to $48 for domestic wires.
