The BankAmericard Credit Card

Chase Freedom FlexSM vs BankAmericard®

The Chase Freedom Flex also features a 0% intro APR. It also offers 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in quarterly rotating categories (activation required), 5% on travel booked through Chase Ultimate Rewards®, 3% on eating and drugstores, and 1% on all other transactions. The card also comes with a $200 bonus after $500 in purchases in the first three months. For long-term use, the Chase Freedom Flex clearly outperforms the BankAmericard.

BankAmericard® vs. US Bank Visa® Platinum

No annual fee and 0% initial APR on purchases and balance transfers for 20 billing cycles, then 15.24 percent – 25.24 percent variable APR. The U.S. Bank Visa Platinum Card offers a balance transfer fee of 3% or $5, whichever is greater. Neither card has an annual fee and both charge 3% for balance transfers.

The longer introductory APR period on the U.S. Bank Visa Platinum makes it a more powerful balance transfer card.

BankAmericard® vs Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards®

This card offers a 0% initial APR for the first 15 billing cycles on purchases and balance transfers done within 60 days, followed by a 14.24 percent – 24.24 percent variable APR. A 3% balance transfer fee (min. $10) applies. The Customized Cash Rewards card also comes with a $200 online cash rewards incentive after spending $1,000 in the first 90 days.

The Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards credit card earns 3% cash back in the qualified category of your choice, 2% at grocery shops and wholesale clubs (up to $2,500 in combined quarterly purchases) and 1% on all other transactions. This structure, like any cash-back card, outweighs the BankAmericard’s lack of incentives.
